Peace be upon you and God's mercy and blessings
In the name of Allah, praise be to Allah, and prayers and peace be upon our prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
By the help of God Almighty and the hard work of those in charge of the university's operations, may God richly reward them, the Faculty of Women's academic journey began in the city of Mukalla during the 1997–1998 academic year.
The Faculty of Women has objectives, vision, mission, and departments. One of its main objectives is to develop a distinguished Islamic personality in understanding Islam and to prepare qualified teachers in accordance with contemporary educational trends. These teachers will have a strong theoretical foundation in computer science and engineering, which will enable them to keep up with the field's rapid changes. There are four specializations within the faculty:
- Islamic studies
- Arabic language
- Computer science and information systems
- English language
After four years of study spread across eight semesters, the student receives a bachelor's degree from the university in her field of specialization.
Additionally, the faculty has two computer labs, a library with books related to Islamic sciences of all types, Arabic language, educational studies, general culture, computer science, and English language.
In addition to the fact that education is not coeducational, the Faculty of Women, and particularly the Department of Islamic Studies, stands out for having students from a variety of nationalities, including Indonesian, Malaysian, Tanzanian, Swahili, and others.
